Paper Birch

Clump form. Reddish young bark matures to white, papery, peeling layers. Oval, toothed green foliage turns bright yellow to gold in fall. Prefers slightly acidic, moist, well-drained soil and afternoon shade. Prune in summer as needed. Large landscape native tree.
