Showy Milkweed

Native, upright clump forming perennial with thick, silver-green, oblong pointed foliage highlighting showy, ball-like clusters of large soft-pink to pink-purple, star-shaped blooms from late spring through summer. Blooms produce large, spiny seed pods. Self-seeds freely so remove pods before they split open to control spreading. Important host plant for the Monarch butterfly caterpillar.
