Red Switch Grass

Upright, warm-season grass with smaller, more narrow blades than other switch grass. Red tinge turns burgundy-red in fall. Finely textured, pink-tinged stems in spring flaunt branched panicles. Seeds mature to straw-yellow then beige over winter. Tolerates a wide range of soils.
